Compleat Restorations was featured Sunday, October 24, on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, helping Trisha Urban of Hamburg, PA.  

Trisha suffered a terrible tragedy with the untimely death of her husband. Trisha and Andy met back in college while working an internship at a youth group home. Andy was the youth counselor and Trisha was the cook. It didn't take long for them to realize that they were meant to be together. 

The young couple was expecting their first child and in the process of turning their five-acre plot of land into their idyllic and beautiful dream home. On February 4, 2009, everything changed. Andy died suddenly of a heart attack while Trisha was in labor.

Trisha refuses to let Andy's death be in vain. Since his passing, she has raised thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association. In addition, she has taken on a second job as a hospice nurse using her real life experience to help families cope during their difficult time. 

Trisha's sister, Kylene Knepp and their mother, Sandra Baney, live nearby and help Trisha with babysitting. But, with a mortgage she could barely afford and a home that was desperately in need of repair, the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team stepped in so that Trisha didn't have to let go of her and Andy's dream home forever. 

Trisha and her family went on vacation to Walt Disney World, while “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” team leader Ty Pennington, designers Leigh Anne Tuohy, Paul DiMeo and Tracy Hutson, local builder Berks County Home Builders Association, Compleat Restorations and community volunteers rebuilt the home.

Compleat Restorations assisted by providing drying and cleaning services, including dehumidification and round-the-clock monitoring and labor, to expedite the drying of the drywall, primer, and paint in the interior and exterior of the home. The project was completed the week of July 29, 2010 in Hamburg, PA.

Compleat Restorations services the Lancaster, York, Lebanon, Reading and Harrisburg-Hershey areas in Pennsylvania and has traveled all over the United States, such as New Orleans, Florida, New Jersey, Maryland and Texas to dry large buildings after devastating storms and floods. Compleat Restorations has been providing insurance restoration services to the marketplace since 1978 and has been a Member of the DKI organization since 1991.
